Collab
Goal: We will deliver the right information into the right hands at the right time, through collaborative channels that support the efficient and effective communication between our operational teams.
We start by interviewing everyone involved in flight operations, from pilots to ground staff, to understand their experiences and where they face difficulties. The main issue we find is that they lack an efficient way to communicate and collaborate on time-sensitive tasks like flight departures. To tackle this, we create prototypes and wireframes to test our ideas. We go through three rounds of testing with various stakeholders like pilots, cabin crews, flight planners, and airport operation controllers.
Our biggest challenge is figuring out which features to prioritize. We need to make sure the solution works well for everyone involved, without catering too much to just one group, which could lead to extra work and complexity.
To address this, we embrace an agile approach by swiftly presenting a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to airport staff and observing their interactions while interviewing them. We collaborate closely with users, incorporating their feedback to continually improve our MVP and prioritize features. For tasks we can't tackle due to limitations in budget and time, we add them to a backlog for future consideration. During planning sessions, we incorporate these tasks into our roadmap and present them to users for input.
